My Inspiration, My Hope
I know she probably won’t read this, but I would just like to take the time to recognize my sister for being my inspiration. She lost a lot of weight in her third year of college just by exercising and limiting her calorie in-take. She inspires me because I am of similiar age, with similar goals, and of similar genes. If she can do it, the certainly I can do. I cannot blame bad genes for my circumstances, my genes do not predestined me to fat.
She is my hope because before she lost weight she never had a boyfriend. Now after a few years, she has had two serious boyfriends, one of which is almost certainly heading towards marriage in the next year. I would like to have the same outcome a few years after I lose weight.
She is my inspiration because she didn’t lose weight to meet guys or to be hot, she lost weight to be healthier. I too am losing weight for my health, I want to live a long and happy life being as healthy as possible!
you have a good start already . you can do it !
You are doing great, but I would sure caution anyone connecting romance and weight. Romance comes into our lives independently of weight. Your sister’s romance can be just as much connected with age as it is with her body image. At 19 I had a few flings, but romance-romance didn’t start happening in my life until later, and then I got married pretty darn early, at 23. Through it I was plump, I was skinny, and everything in between, and not a head-turner even at my very best.
Losing weight for health and beauty issues is a fantastic thing - never-ever doubt that. But the True Love doesn’t get summoned by hitting the goal weight on the scale. It’s more likely to come calling because of that awsome smile of yours than the size of your waist.
